Drawing Class with Ian

So today we had the first drawing class and I have to be honest I felt really odd going to this. Having worked so long and understanding so much of visual language I had over looked the basics and forgot what it was like to actually get my hand dirty and just do something as simple as change the scale, change hand or flip the charcoal to get a different texture. Stuff we teach to a leave. Saying this it really helped me free up my marks and enjoy what we were doing.

The images at this time are just developmental but I like what it gives me in contrast to the photographic element that I have started with. I feel I have a tangible link to the hand made mark.

Keep me posted with what you think?
